Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association ask for support for local business
Keo Mom, president of Cambodia Women Entrepreneurs Association said there are two things holding back the sales of Cambodian products.
The first is a perception that Cambodian products are inferior to overseas versions and the second that expensive product placement fees prevent local products from getting the exposure they need.
Keo said: “Currently, we have seen that the display of our Cambodian products for sale is very limited. When we take our products to sell at supermarkets and mini-marts, in some places, they discriminate [against] our Khmer products a lot.”
