Young activist fights for her rights in Myanmar
Wai Wai Nu spent eight years in prison simply for being her father’s daughter.
Wai Wai is a Rohinga Muslim and has been fighting for her rights and the rights of other discriminated against minorities ever since.
Since she left prison she has worked tirelessly to educate others on human rights. She has taught more than 500 students, mostly women, about justice and human rights and she has also started a Women’s Peace Network Arakan.
