Women police officers in Timor-Leste campaign against domestic violence

Growing numbers of women police officers are pulling together to campaign against domestic violence in Timor-Leste.

The Timor-Leste National Police took part in International Women’s Day for the first time to launch the campaign earlier this year.

The number of women police officers in Timor-Leste has been growing since a push to recruit more women in 2014 in order to better respond to domestic violence.
