Fresh food shortages caused by cyclone Winston have highlighted the essential role of women in the food supply chain in Fiji.

Aleta Miller, Representative for UN Women in Fiji, said the lack of fresh produce for women to sell at markets combined with customers with no money to spend ends up impacting whole families.
