The Importance of Forums and Networks

Forums such as Fiji Young Women’s Forum and Emerging Leaders Forum Alumni are invaluable networking opportunities for Women Human Rights Activists to learn from one another, share experiences and problem solve together. Forums create opportunities for conversations that motivate activists to inspire change within their own communities and more broadly.

Emerging Leaders Forum Alumni (ELFA) is a part of Fiji Women’s Rights Movement. Since the commencement of IWDA’s Funding Leadership and Opportunities for Women program, ELFA has facilitated 13 advocacy campaigns, including a march on Human Rights Day in 2014 and a strategic planning retreat.
