Solidarity in the Solomons

Hon. Jeremiah Manele, Leader of the Opposition in Solomon Islands has recently declared his commitment to Temporary Special Measures, standing in solidarity with the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister who have also made this vow. The introduction of Temporary Special Measures will work to enhance women’s political participation in the region. This is a positive step to addressing attitudes and systems that that prevent women for entering the political space.
