IWDA Submission to the 2020 review into Australia’s international development cooperation policy

Australia’s development cooperation is a key tool in ensuring sustainable, just, and inclusive societies – a goal that benefits Australians and our neighbours in Asia and the Pacific alike.

This submission outlines IWDA’s recommendations for the purpose, principles and priorities for implementation of Australia’s development cooperation program. To inform the recommendations of this submission, IWDA conducted a survey of our partner organisations and their networks across Asia and the Pacific. The results of this survey are presented at the conclusion of this submission, and inform IWDA’s recommendations.

This submission is complementary to the joint submission made by IWDA along with ActionAid Australia, CARE Australia, Oxfam Australia and Plan International Australia.
