Economic empowerment program a success in Fiji

May 20, 2016

A 53 year-old Fijian woman’s life has been changed by the donation of a bean cart from the Ministry of Women.

The bean cart has given Sarab Sati of Nabua the opportunity to earn money for her family. Sati found herself in financial difficulties and found herself relying on money she earned from begging.

Her new bean cart means that she can now start working towards her dream of having her own home.

The bean cart was donated as part of the Ministry of Women’s operation “Loloma”. The program identifies people on the streets who want to change their lives.
