Digital Storytelling project shares the stories of young leaders

01.07.16

Fijian girls aged between 10 and 12 years old shared their stories as part of a digital storytelling project.

The girls wrote and produced stories about issues they face in their daily life, including bullying and discrimination.

The girls are participants in IWDA partner organisation Fiji Women’s Rights Movement’s GIRLS program which aims to develop young leaders and introduce them to discussions about feminism, leadership and human rights.

The project was supported by the UNDP Strengthening Citizen Engagement in Fiji Initiative (SCEFI), funded by the European Union and was implemented with the help of Pacific Women Shaping Pacific Development.

Over 200 people attended the launch of the digital storytelling project at Damodar City Cinemas in Laucala Bay, Suva.
