Young women represent Solomon Islands at Women Deliver conference
Mary Toata and Natasha Eddie from the Solomon Islands recently attended the Women Deliver conference in Copenhagen Denmark.
The young women attended the conference after a year of study as part of the Women Deliver program.
Their studies covered drafting advocating strategies and policy. They also learnt about the UN’s sustainable development goals, international human rights and how young leaders can advocate on women’s issues.
Natasha said:
“This conference inspires me; I get to witness and listen to some of the most important people in the world advocating and supporting girls and women! This conference inspires me to help women and girls back at home to be the voice for the voiceless.”
