Women’s Legal Centre to receive $1 million to help victims of domestic violence in Canberra

The Federal Government announced last week that the Women’s Legal Centre in Canberra would receive $1.05 million over the next three years, as part of the $100 million announced last month to tackle domestic violence in Australia.

“Women who are experiencing domestic violence need comprehensive, long-term, expert legal advice and representation,” said Women’s Legal Centre director Elena Rosenman.

“The extra funding will help expand work to support vulnerable women and give them access to legal services safely.”
