Women living in rural villages knock it for six
Aspiring women cricketers no longer need to live in Fiji’s towns and cities to give the sport a go as the sport reaches out to women living in rural communities.
An orientation and development program which began in Galon Village in Serua attracted a lot of interest.
Cricket Fiji’s acting chief executive Setoki Galuvakadua said:
“[The program] gave the ladies an opportunity to set aside time from their usual village life chores and take part in our daily physical training sessions, it was just awesome to see the positive response from all the villages.”
