Women and Girls encouraged to live their goals in Papua New Guinea
A program encouraging women and girls to play football has kicked off in Papua New Guinea.
The FIFA Live Your Goals program aims to increase the number of women and girls playing football by inspiring and empowering them to believe in themselves.
At the launch of the program 200 girls from Port Moresby schools gathered at the Sir John Guise Stadium to learn football skills from women coaches and players.
The program is being held in Papua New Guinea as part of their hosting of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The launch of the program coincided with the Walk for Life which promotes empowering of young women and girls in the community.
