Watch: Laurie Penny discusses feminism at the 2015 Melbourne Writers Festival

13.09.15

Laurie Penny calls for a bolder and braver feminism. She seeks the invention of new gender roles, and encourages speaking out against those who deny women their rights. In her book Unspeakable Things, Penny discusses the issues of modern feminism, poverty and prejudice, and women and social justice.

In this session at last month’s Melbourne Writers Festival, she joins Clementine Ford for a discussion of modern feminist issues.
