The challenges women face in Cambodia
According to the Women’s Resource Centre, Cambodian women have many responsibilities and lack many opportunities. Some of the challenges these women face include a lack of access to help or credit for work, domestic violence, gender traditions, and trafficking and prostitution.
“It is challenging for women to share their stories and concerns to someone who they trust, allowing her some relief from her stress and to find better solutions. Cambodian tradition doesn’t allow women to have a voice for herself or in society.”
