Space on the Mat

IWDA has been working with Commonwealth Local Government Forum since 2008 and they are currently a Funding Leadership and Opportunities for Women program partner. This ongoing collaboration has seen notable achievements for women in the Pacific, particularly women seeking and attaining leadership positions in their local communities and government.

However, cultural shifts take time and there is more work to be done. CLGF continues to implement strategies and initiatives to encourage women’s participation at all levels of leadership, as documented on their ‘Space on the Mat’ website, designed in partnership with IWDA.
