“… it’s about power. It’s not about asking, it’s about demanding. It’s not about convincing those who are currently in power, it’s about changing the very face of power itself.”
~ Kimberlé Williams Crenshaw, USA civil rights advocate

Plan Your Power Training
Advocacy Planning Workshops
Plan Your Power advocacy planning workshops will support your organisation to develop an advocacy strategy embedded in women’s rights principles. The training takes your organisation through every stage of the advocacy planning process, culminating in a comprehensive advocacy strategy ready to implement.
Working with Plan Your Power will not only ensure your advocacy is targeted, it will guide you towards achieving long-term structural change. A women’s rights approach to advocacy is more than just the end product of achieving the advocacy aim; it is the journey where all women’s voices are heard and women are empowered to act.
Plan Your Power will not only help you achieve your advocacy goals, it will empower your staff by providing them with the framework and tools to lead strategic advocacy in the future.
Participants are given complimentary access to IWDA’s Plan Your Power Online Learning Course so they can feel prepared to engage in an interactive and collaborative workshop.
Courses can be provided in person (travel permitting) or online. Options include a dedicated follow up support plan to monitor the plan’s implementation.
