Gender biases in Pacific lead to shorter jail sentences
The International Centre for Advocates Against Discrimination has found that gender biases in the Pacific result in significantly shorter jail sentences for those convicted of gender-based crimes.
Factors taken into account included traditional concepts of male and female roles and gender stereotypes.
