Female artisans contribute to the economic growth of Fiji
The Fijian government has shown its commitment to enhancing the economic potential of women. The National Women’s Expo, now in its second year, allows access to new marketing opportunities, the space to generate further income, and recognition of the creative and quality work of women.
Sales records of this year’s expo show that over $300,000 in come was earned by 600 artisans. The success of this year’s event reflects on the ability of female entrepreneurs and artisans to help drive the country’s economy.
