Ensuring a safe space for women in social development

A recent report by UN Women puts the protection of women’s rights and leadership at the forefront when it comes to ensuring peace and security. The report also calls for transformative change to the way countries respond to structural violence and female oppression, particularly the global issue of violence against human rights defenders and civil society organisations.
