Empowering Fijians with greater accessibility to services
Fijian Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Rosy Akbar, says a new three-year project – jointly coordinated by UNDP and the Ministry of Women – will provide greater accessibility to programs and services to those in rural areas.
The REACH project will allow for three new mobile buses equipped with trained personnel, ready to deliver services in the areas of women’s health, gender equality, child protection and social welfare.
“It’s about ensuring that no one is left behind when it comes to accessing legal and social services,” said Rosy Akbar. “We will capitalise on the REACH project to create well-informed, united and resilient communities in Fiji.”
