Connecting Civil Society

Earlier this month, IWDA’s Funding Leadership and Opportunities for Women program partner Commonwealth Local Government Forum held a Dialogue on Advancing Gender Equality in Buka, Bougainville.

Members of local government and civil society organisations came together to discuss and develop ways they could collaborate and work as one. Such dialogue is critical as it ensures local governments are better informed when developing policies and solutions. A key priority of IWDA’s FLOW program is to strengthen relationships between CSOs and local governments to increase coherence and fortify commitments to gender equality at all levels of government.
