Cambodian PM stresses four key points in the promotion of gender equality

Last month, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen gave a keynote address on gender equality at the Global Leaders’ Meeting on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment at the UN Headquarters in New York. In his address, he urged world leaders to give attention to four key points to promote gender equality:

1. Increasing investment on gender equality
2. Ensuring the protection of women’s rights, including full and equal participation in all levels of decision-making
3. Strengthening accountability mechanisms
4. Promoting financial inclusion and economic involvement of women
