Boosting gender equality in Fiji through monitoring and evaluation

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is helping to strengthen gender equality in Fiji.

DFAT is working with the Fiji Department of Women (DOW) to establish monitoring and evaluation needs by developing and recommending strategies to address these needs. Rosy Akbar, Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, says this is a key focus of Fiji’s National Gender Policy. Two workshops have recently been held to teach officers necessary skills to measure change and carry out their roles effectively.
