$2.3 million to support women’s economic empowerment in the Solomon Islands
The Australian Minister for International Development and the Pacific, Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, has announced a $2.3 million dollar partnership over four years to support women’s economic empowerment in the Solomon Islands.
The funding is to help employers recruit, retain and promote women as employees and business leaders.
Minister Fierravanti-Wells said:
“The Australian Government is strongly committed to promoting gender equality and empowering women and girls.
“The evidence is clear – investing in women is not just the right thing to do; it makes smart business sense as well.”
