What’s next for gender equality in 2016?
The voices questioning persistent gender norms, discriminatory policies and legal frameworks are ever-growing. But beyond dialogue, the World Bank Group gender strategy for 2016-2023 looks to promote renewed action.
The strategy aims to support governments and the private sector to close gender gaps around the globe, emphasising the need to work side by side to eradicate barriers to gender equality.
This effort is anchored in the belief that equal opportunities, regardless of gender, race, age or location, benefit not only the individual, but families and communities too.
