Safer births for women in Papua New Guinea

Giving birth to her son in the jungle inspired Francisca Kameula to improve the lives of other women in her area.

Francisca created the Koro Women’s Group to help improve the lives of the women in her area. One of the first projects was building a health clinic closer to the community.

Her project has been supported by the Inclusive Development in Post-Conflict Bougainville Project, which was established to give women a stronger voice to get support for projects that meet their needs.
