IWDA’s Funding Leadership and Opportunities for Women program partner Bougainville Women’s Federation recently conducted research investigating the opportunities and barriers faced by young women pursuing leadership in Bougainville.
The Pacific Islands Forum Summit held earlier this week addressed key issues confronting the Pacific today, and highlighted the importance of engaging youth as partners in leading change. This view demonstrates a willingness to overcome the barriers that often cause conflict and disrupt cooperation between generations.
