Liberal female MPs agree: It’s time for an intervention

Women’s representation in parliament is not going to change without intervention.

In Australia, 16 Liberal MPs out of 74 in the House of Representatives are women. In the Senate, there are six women out of 27. Victorian Liberal MP Sharman Stone believes that quotas are needed to fix these numbers, rather than a ‘merit-based’ solution.
