Gender violence and the cost to business

A survey in Papua New Guinea and subsequent analysis by the Overseas Development Institute has looked at the effect of gender-based violence on the ability to function in the workplace.

On average, 11 days per year per individual were taken off due to gender violence, with incidents affecting all levels of staff. Men were also seen to be taking time off to help women dealing with gender violence.
