Al Jazeera’s ‘Women Make Change’ documentary
A new documentary series is following six women from around the world to discover the transformative impact they are making in their communities.
Femi Oke, host of the series, believes it is important to tell these stories because they add to the growing amount of evidence that investing in women is smart economics. If you give women opportunities to participate, the effect goes beyond one individual and a positive ripple effect is felt.
Women’s involvement changes communities and the way the world develops, and therefore women play a key part in sustainable development.
