Countries across Asia and the Pacific are well known for their picturesque beaches, cuisine that explodes with flavour,
ancient landmarks and bustling markets.
But if you venture outside of the usual tourist spots and look closer, you’ll find bold, determined women who are paving the way for tourism that improves social and economic wellbeing while actively giving back to their communities.
In this guide you will find mindful, eco-conscious travel tips and recommendations for some of the countries within the
regions we work. You will also get to learn about the important work of IWDA’s partner organisations in each country.
IWDA is a leading Australian organisation dedicated to advancing the rights of women, girls, and gender diverse people across Asia and the Pacific.
We work for feminist movements by resourcing diverse women’s rights and aligned organisations, with the money, skills and access they need to achieve their priorities. We are also part of feminist movements, making our own contributions through knowledge creation, advocacy and movement strengthening, to advance our vision of gender equality for all.
Through IWDA, the local organisations we partner with, and the generous people who support us through donations, women across Asia and the Pacific are rising up – fighting for the change they wish to see.
