Signs of the Times: the Best of the Global Women’s Marches

Literally millions of people all over the world participated in Women’s Marches on January 21. Though the Marches came about because of Donald Trump’s inauguration, they were never a protest. They were a rallying call to action for everyone to demand equal rights.

Literally millions of people all over the world participated in Women’s Marches on January 21. Though the Marches came about because of Donald Trump’s inauguration, they were never a protest. They were a rallying call to action for everyone to demand equal rights.

The atmosphere here in Melbourne was one of passion, strength and solidarity. But we know that people of all ages, genders and ethnicities showed up in cities all over the world with the same message of love and equality. The togetherness completely blew us away. But it also taught us one important lesson – feminists know how to make signs.
