Data Reveals Daily Violence
August 13, 2015
An article published by The Fiji Times (Online) reported on the extreme levels of intimate partner violence in Fiji. According to statistics gathered by Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre, on average 43 women experience intimate partner violence every day, with the attacks varying in severity.
Reducing gender-based violence is a fundamental objective of IWDA’s Funding Leadership and Opportunities for Women program. Since the commencement of the FLOW program, IWDA has worked with seven women’s rights organisations to support and strengthen their capacity, effectiveness and service delivery.
