In this article from The Guardian, Sady Doyle gives a brief overview of the life and works of Anaïs Nin, a writer much like the modern day Lena Dunham, whose candid accounts of her sexual affairs created both admirers and fervent critics of her work. She enjoyed some success later in life, after a struggle to even be heard as a female writer. However, after her death the release of a particular book outlining her experience incest created more criticism and disdain for her work. Social media is bringing her back in a positive light.
